Uk Viewers - Channel 4 The Event Site

Channel 4 in the UK have now launched their own The Event mini site

There are a few cast interviews and episode details on the site that will be safe for anyone who has not watched any of the US episodes.

There is still no word yet on exactly when in October the series will be shown in the UK.

For UK viewers that are new to The event Community site and want to know more, without being spoiled, then click here for all the information that is spoiler free for UK viewers. If you go to the main The event Community site you will see details about episodes that have already aired in the US.

Welcome to The Event Community episode posts.

These posts will be made just before each episode airs and can be used to discuss the episode as it is airing, and afterwards to discuss anything that happens, and your theories about what will happen.

The description from NBC of The Event is below, let's see if it lives up to the hype, and remember where you first discussed this show.

The Event is an emotional, high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his would-be fiancée Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.

Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including newly elected U.S. President Elias Martinez (Golden Globe nominee Blair Underwood, "In Treatment"); Sophia Maguire (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, "ER"), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Leila's shadowy father (Scott Patterson, "Gilmore Girls"). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.

Premiere Screening at The Grove in Los Angeles

Truth Seeker 5314 12

Possibly another tie in to The Event is the new blog site "Truth Seeker 5314" This was noticed first by SG_Tess as reported in the comments.

The blog says "My position grants me access to highly sensitive information..." and promises to share all with us.

The Event Will It Happen On Twitter ? 17

This Tweet from Nick Wauters (Writer and creator) was posted, it lists several Twitter names for characters on the show.

I have modified this image slightly as there was a later tweet to say Vicky_Roberts was spelt incorrectly, this image shows the correct version.

Inside Out The Event T-Shirt

After looking at some The Event tweets @BostAngeles has posted this picture of a t-shirt which I am assuming was picked up at the LA preview screening of the first episode.

The more observant amongst you will notice that the image is reversed and that the t shirt is also inside out, the words were found inside the shirt.

Inside Mount Inostranka 29

As we were previously examining the outside of the facility it seems appropriate that a new video has been posted on the offical NBC The Event website, it is a tour of part of the set for the facility, presumably one of the large hanger like structures.

Mount Inostranka Map Inconsistencies

A little analysis on the Mount Inostranka map at theeventiscoming.com shows a few inconsistencies.

On the left I've marked three issues with the shadows on the map.(Click for a bigger image)

1. A shadow in the direction of the arrow.

2. Shadow in a different direction, seems to be from the sun as most shadows on the map fall this way.

3. Apparently no shadow for these objects.

In the comments Just Thinking asked the question about what the black objects (1) are on the map.

There a number of explanations, however to my mind the simplest explanation is that they are body bags laid out on the ground in front of what appear to be accomodation blocks.

Also we have again an instance of objects with no shadow (2).

One final image with 1, a shadow falling at an odd angle, 2, the direction of the sun, 3, some more black shapes outside accomodation blocks.

The Event Is Coming Map - New News Articles 29

On the The Event IS Coming map website there have been some new articles posted.

They are all about President Martinez and all end with a question -

Just a few items of interest from the last few weeks, as you may know a lot of us have been busy with another show over the last few week so attention has been diverted from The Event.

Firstly remember it is your last day to vote for the Event to be shown in your city. Click Here to go to the voting pages, remember you can cast one vote per day.

Talking of that other show, one of the videos released recently (click) is a montage of quotes from fans that have seen the first episode, one of which is displayed to your right.

I think it may be a little early to be making such a bold statement, but heres hoping it can come close.
