Tess, yes "Face Off" brings to mind the movie by same name. Something tells me that the alien B O D Y S (hee hee) are maybe something else altogether.
But with this show, it's highly likely is just meaning standoff with government.

I was thinking the same thing, SG. The thing I want to see is when Dempsey is finding more of the tablet-like artifacts in his dig in France.. wondering a lot about that.

Guardian angels? Every civilization has had them. Not just a symbol according to Dempsey. 'They are very very real.' Oh, what's that triangle?? (on the wall and tattooed on Dempsey's arm). Hmmm, this is interesting.
I wonder if Dempsey's main work is to make things happen the way they are supposed to? If he's a guardian angel and he has the power to affect the future by manipulating the present? Maybe he's a good-guy saving our Earth?

Maybe Dempsey is Sean's guardian angel, since he said their paths had crossed before. I think he helped Sean after he got off the cruise ship.

I listen to their podcast. They've talked about it maybe being angels or fallen angels back when Simon's lover asked if he was one and he said he was no angel.
It's a subject appropriate for modern times.

Just finished watching....most of tonight's episode was pretty predictable until those buses blew up!
Dempsey continues to intrigue me...I want to know his story. He does seem to be the "Jacob" of this story...in charge of destinies? And something special is in those jars...written in the same Rune characters we've seen before.

Unfortunately Martinez seems to be a person that has no clue what to do in most situations !
I didn't see the buses being blown up, but it is an interesting twist, I wonder if we will see Thomas again later in another guise ? My guess would be at season end.
The guardian angel thing with Dempsey is also interesting this is obviously a story thread to be linked in with the aliens at some point, probably a kind of bigger picture thing.
Loads to look at and digest, and I think this is only one of a few episodes that I want to immediately go and watch again.
Are we to assume Dempsey is a gaurdian angel because of the triangle tattoo? Or is he the gaurdian angel in the drawing?
There's some more voicemails at Dempsey's desk nothing to exciting one is in French though so I have no idea what it says. Probably something about the dig. There's also a scroll in the safe with the rune writing on it.
Thanks Tess I'll take a look at those in a while. We may need our code breaking skils to decipher the rune writing.
I think that is what the show is implying about Dempsey, but whether he is a fallen guardien angel is another matter.

I agree that they are implying that Dempsey is a guardian angel...possibly the big white one in that drawing because of the triangle tattoo. Is there a rune translator out there somewhere? LOL
