With doubt still surrounding the tragedy at the White House, Sterling encounters an unlikely ally in Simon, who risks his life to return with a possible antidote. Against the wishes of Chief of Staff Richard Peel, Jarvis authorizes an air strike to neutralize them.
Sophia continues on her plan to exterminate the human race, now with the help of an unwitting accomplice — Leila. Meanwhile Sean and Vicky try to prevent the deaths of many thousands of innocent people.

First ! - I know unfair advantage :-)
Enjoy the new episode tonight, I look forward to reading the discussion tomorrow.
Dang it, Zort! :)
Hope this holds my interest...quickly fading.
third!
and more importantly, FOURTH! (a Lost number..hehehe)
This show has such potential with the story-line. I decided not to spoil myself this time by reading the post.
Let's hope for a great episode! (I really hate that they killed off Dempsey)
Hi guys. I'm lagging behind as usual.
Hi Sayid'sgirl! You have a laggy behind? I can totally relate to that, LOL.
Oh, and I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day weekend, girls!
lol yes it's been lagging for years.
Yes very nice Mother's day.
Thanks, BS. Very lovely Mother's Day (though celebrated Sat. nite).
Enjoy the show!
Hellos- sent an email to NBC-so we'll see.
Sophia has a choke hold on him. Doesn't she.
Hi JT
I sent one too.
You were right Swan.
So half immune Layla is what they want?
JT
Looks like it. She'd stay alive long enough to spread it.
yep, SG.. Gosh, I hate it when I can call something before it happens on a tv show. (couldn't do it with Lost). I still could be wrong?
That was a cool move.
clever..
Jarvis is such a weenie.
It about time for Jarvis to weenie out and betray Sophia. I wonder if he'll have the nerve.
Maybe when the mall people die he'll cave in.
He doesn't look like he's got the guts, IMO.
I hope she's setting him up.
My thought too SG.
who? sophia?
I hope Christina is setting up Jarvis.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
nice!
hubby thinks the same, SG
Sophia is starting to remind me of Ben, LOL
This is upsetting. That mall looks just like the one i go to.
NO!
Mutiny
Much worse than a weenie...
i just thought of the title of this episode. :(
A murderous coward.
No, they wouldn't get rid of Simon & Sterling like that. Bad storytelling. No purpose.
She's releasing it on the train. I think.
Oh I guess so.
She has the antidote.
There we go- Simon in the gift shop.
Yay!
Can we discuss next epps promo?
I don't mind.
Well, most interesting thing- "We were here first"
I don't like that they felt they had to dumb it down for us, showing us what happened with the vial and the flowers (as if we didn't already have that figured out). I'm finding this show to be totally depressing and somewhat predictable. bah
lol I must be dumb then. I didn't see Simon. I wondered why you posted that. I'm hoping I missed it while typing. :)
Saw him from the back when she went in first time.
I think they did a revamp during hiatus to make it a bit simpler. Maybe so many people multitask while watching, they don't expect them to pay complete attention anymore.
Sorry, SG. I was just disappointed because as soon as we figured out Christina was fooling Jarvis, then the rest was obvious (to me).
I heard about the revamp to make it simpler. Seems people were getting too confused with all the flash-backs. 'Course, us Lost fans were used to that, LOL.
I still miss Lost. :) Almost the one year anniversary of 'The End'
Nah I was just kidding around. I didn't even see her go into the gift shop. I was probably typing or reading.
I hadn't heard they'd made it simpler over the hiatus. I knew they took out the flash backs because people were annoyed or confused by them.
I never got that. I didn't find them hard to follow. Or get lost in the timeline.
We don't get Lost (we just wish we still did, LOL)
You think maybe the time travel angle is true? "Aliens" from future Earth, coming back to the past, because the Sun is dying? They were here first as our ancestors.
Yes, that's what I'm thinking, JT.
With all the hints at Dempsey's office about the fossils, etc, it makes sense too.
Sophia's ppl are immune to the virus. We should be asking why. Did they already survive something like this so the antibodies are in their blood already? Or did they all get a vaccine for such a plague because they knew they'd have to survive it again?
Just finished watching...and like you guys I'm finding this very predictable. I can actually play FB games while watching (couldn't do that with LOST)!
The only thing that intrigues me is how Dempsey (and his people) are tied into Sophia's people if they were here first (according to the promo). And what is Sean's real role in all this.
Black Swan: You're right to ask why Sophia's people are immune to the virus. Most likely they have been exposed in the their past.
I'm not giving up on this, but I think I'm just watching now for entertainment purposes and I don't want to think too much about it.
Dempsey- maybe time travel cops? Maybe Sophia's group is breaking the law by coming back-and others have too in the past.
This also brings up the whole "killed my grandfather in the past" paradox- which has the "what happened happened" solution. But they're going to need Hurley and Miles to come on and explain that one!

I didn't think they'd kill really. Or maybe just one. I think the purpose was to show what a coward Jarvis is and how far he'll go to be important and to save his own skin.
...kill them really...
I guess I meant they were too important as characters to just kill in a failed attempt to do something. Not a heroic death for the heroes-so bad storytelling.
I liked the episode overall.
I think we have all been spoiled by very similar things in the past in other excellent shows.
At times this seems kind of a copycat of other things, and maybe there aren't any more different ways of telling stories. It's a shame TV companies can't trust their audiences and give them a little more credit at times.
I still want to see more though and want things to take off in an unexpected direction at some point.
One more thought-it would fit more if the "EBEs" are colonists who went from Earth to another solar system. I think Simon said once where they were from in the Galaxy. And Thomas sent the message out into space-guess it would have had to go into the future too.Our sun isn't supposed to die for what- a billion years? By that time they would have evolved into something much less human.
So maybe former humans from a colony around another star, coming back in time to Earth.
There are the ancient aliens theory where supposedly the gods we know (sumerian, mid eastern) in the world, are actually aliens from other more advanced civilisations. and they somehow tinkered with the homo erectus and created the homo sapiens, "creating us in their own image" but actually utilising their creation to serve their purpose (glorify) them. I dunno if the writers of this show have read about this theory!
DJ- Does the thoery say what happened to the "gods"? Did they melt away on the wind like Apollo in the TOS Star Trek episode?
The Event has been officially canceled.
