Hello????

Area 51?

ObFuSc8 said...

Hey JT, Black Swan and anyone else that's here...

I don't like that they've added a narrator to the "Previously on" bit. They probably think they are helping viewers who just want to jump in or didn't catch everything in the last eps. But I found it annoying.

Just Thinking said...

That sounded like she really knew what was up with Sean- not an official agent needs help type call.

Black Swan said...

Hi OB. Not very many here tonight. I don't mind the narration for a 'Previously on'.

How cool is it that Mel started this new post after being comment #108 on the ep2 post?!?! You are so many shades of awesome, Mel!!

Black Swan said...

I agree, JT

Just Thinking said...

In the first episode they were bringing in someone that they wanted to get information from- one of the 44's on the outside. The CIA may have already have gotten info from him.

Black Swan said...

Thanks, JT. I should watch the first ep again.

Black Swan said...

time shifts?!?

Just Thinking said...

No- the agent didn't know about Sean- but know she is believing.

Just Thinking said...

BS- I think it's CIA lies about the plane times.

Black Swan said...

Vicki Roberts = Ben Linus?!? LOL

Black Swan said...

oh, yeah JT that would make sense.

Black Swan said...

That movie, "Hereafter" looks really interesting (just showed an ad for that)

Just Thinking said...

Hmm- so if the president knew what the 44's want to do he would kill them?

MJCarp said...

hi all. just going to finish watching then be back.

ObFuSc8 said...

In that first Ep, during a flashback to a meeting 13 months prior, Simon had said to Sophia that they tracked a man down in LA, and he wasn't happy about being back, and that man wanted to tell them (government) about the event.

It seemed to me from that convo that whoever that was would be back at Inosranka -- unless the not "not happy about being back" part only referred to being found and they were referring to a Free Inostrankan and not one of the detainees.

Just Thinking said...

You wonder if there would be any way for the writers make us sympathize with this with these NSA people after this? They are being set up as evil incarnate looks like.

ObFuSc8 said...

I didn't expect that much of a shoot-em-up killing spree in an FBI field office.

Bad feeling about Maya...even though she's William's GF. I wonder if she'll kill him

ObFuSc8 said...

Whoa. Yup. Shanked!

Black Swan said...

Thanks for that OB. Like i said I really should watch the first two episodes again. In this show it seems that "being back" could mean a lot of things.

i get the feeling Mia's gonna kill him

Black Swan said...

jinx, ObFuSc8

we were both right about that, LOL

Just Thinking said...

Zombies! lol

ObFuSc8 said...

The shoot-out inside an FBI office with so many dead agents would raise more questions...even of these are rogue/merc agents that tried to take Walker.

I guess they could just say Walker did it all trying to get away.

ObFuSc8 said...

And, THEY'RE ALIVEEEEEEE!
Just like we thought.

Black Swan said...

Dang, I could never predict Lost, LOL

The other thing that gets me is we know nothing will happen to Sean week to week.

You got it, JT.. it's the zombie season already, LOL

Just Thinking said...

So, Thomas kind of used them like hostages-only he didn't need to hold on to them to make the point. THis from next week's preview.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Hee, hee - I got a late start, so I couldn't watch with you guys - but did anyone else think that all of the "surprises" tonight were a bit obvious? I see you also guessed that Maya would kill William and that the bodies would come back to life.

And Swan, don't think I didn't notice that I was comment 108 on the last post! ;)

Just Thinking said...

Yes Melissa- except maybe the agents opening fire so blatantly. But as Ob says, they can make up a cover story.

Tess315 said...

Ob
Here's a screencap of the woman shooter in epi 1.
here

MJCarp said...

Well. hmmm. Suspension of disbeLIEf. So now what to you do with 200+ dead, not dead passengers that are suppose to be in remote Brazilian jungle? Anyone think they're lives are now really in jeopardy?

And what kind of security does that Fed. Agency building have? None.

Did anyone else yell "cat fight" during cargo container scene?

LT

ObFuSc8 said...

JT, Melissa -- It would have been a whole lot more plausible for one of those rogue agents/mercs to give Collier a story to shut her up, maybe take her with them.

I guess this was the writers' way of underscoring Sean's innocence to Collier and giving us more adrenaline fueled, Sean/Collier bonding time.

ObFuSc8 said...

Lotto -- We have to wonder what those passengers remember, if anything. So far all that seems to have been released is that Avias 514 dropped of radar over the Brazilian jungle. They'll just cook up another cover story, but it will be very difficult for any passengers that remembers what happened.

Black Swan said...

Hi SG and Melissa! heheheheh 108, yeah!

Thanks for that screenshot, SG. hmmm

ok, help me out here. Didn't it say that the plane and bodies was in Arizona?? I'm confused. :P

Black Swan said...

OB, what you say about the passengers remembering what happened makes me wonder if that's what is going on with Sean?! idk

ObFuSc8 said...

Thanks for that screencap Tess. I want to compare it to pics of some of the Secret Service and other agents we've already seen.

They are certainly trying to make us think that Sterling is involved with the covert group of agents, but that may not be the case. I'm just wondering where the leak/leaks are. Seems like like those covert agents were at the FBI AZ office pretty quickly, and then knew right away when Collier called the Washington office.

That agent "Justin" said he brought the Walker info directly to Sterling. Sterling told him to get walker but keep it need to know.Only a few high ranking people knew the President was going to announce the Inostrankans existence and release.

I'm betting the covert agents have access to someone that's pretty high ranking and bugs/taps/surveillance all over the place. And of course $$$.

ObFuSc8 said...

Black Swan -- What do you mean, "Didn't it say that the plane and bodies was in Arizona??"

I'm also not sure what you meant by what is going on with Sean.

Tess315 said...

Hi Swany ;)
Yes the plane and bodies were found in Yuma. What are you confused about?
Ob and Swany you're weloome for the screencap.

ObFuSc8 said...

Sophia was surprised when the President told her all 183 passengers on Avias 514 were dead. She looked at the pics POTUS showed her and said:

Sophia:This wasn't supposed to happen.

and later...

Sophia:I can't defend this. But I won't betray my people. I told you that.

It didn't seem like she knew the dead passengers weren't really dead or would be brought back to life. Surely she'd know Thomas/Free Inostrankans had that capability?

Just Thinking said...

Do we know where the passengers are when they wake up? I mean- had they been taken to Brazil yet? In any case-even if they don't remember- they will know from the time they wake up that something weird is going on.

Since the conspirators seem ready to kill anyone, I agree Lotto, they are in trouble.

Just Thinking said...

Ob- What about Simon? He actually was there with the passengers. Did he know they weren't dead? It didn't seem like it. Though I noticed that when he and Sophia talked to each other they did not specifically say they were dead.

ObFuSc8 said...

Building on what JT already posted --

Whatever the Inostrankans know, whatever "The Event" is, Sophia/Inostrankans feel it's grave enough that POTUS/govt/humankind would kill all the Inostrankans if they found out and are willing to go to the extent of killing one of their own to protect what they know about "the Event".

Sophia was willing to reveal the existence of the Free Inostrankans to save the Avias 514 passengers, but had William killed to protect "The Event".

Maya risked her freedom to stay with William at Inostranka, but killed him to protect their knowledge of "The Event".

ObFuSc8 said...

JT -- I was just thinking about that, that Simon must have known when he saw the plane/passengers. (That's probably what Thomas meant when he told Simon, "You'll understand when you find it.") And you're right, Sophia/Simon don't say dead/killed in their convo.

Simon: Sophia, we're only clear for 4 minutes. Did you hear about what Thomas did to the passengers?

So Sophia and Simon knew that at some point those passengers would wake up/be brought back to life.

I still think Ben Linus would beat either of them in a game of poker. ;)

Later in that same convo, Sophia says she should have dealt with William when she had the chance. That makes me think the person Sophia/Simon were talking about in the pilot, that wanted to trade info for freedom (that they located in LA) was William.

Tess315 said...

Ob
Yes it was William. In his conversation with Sophia in epi 1 he says... We recaptured William (which made me wonder if he had escaped before)he was hiding in plain sight in LA. He was extracted 2 days ago.

Black Swan said...

Ob, I'm probably just showing that I don't know the specifics of this show so well with my questions, LOL

ObFuSc8 said...

JT -- The chiron said "Temporary Morgue", "Avias 514 victims".

I'm guessing that's where they were waiting for, as Sterling said, the bodies to be "treated to simulate an airplane accident" before they were transported to Brazil.

It looked like it was a govt hangar/warehouse of some sort though it's not clear where they are geographically.

If the passengers don't remember anything, I suppose the govt could just say the co-pilot somehow landed the plane in the rainforest and keep the passengers disoriented or drugged enough to make them think they flew them back from Brazil.

ObFuSc8 said...

Thanks Tess, I think I missed that Simon actually said William.

Just Thinking said...

And most importantly- what is blogger using for a time stamp these days? lol I can't do a conversion because I haven't paid enough attention to postings. All right, I'm going to look at the time on this one.

Just Thinking said...

Ah- maybe GMT.

Just Thinking said...

Ob- I hope you are right about the passengers. I never liked the mass killings on Lost.

Well, 5:30 GMT is past bed for me! Night all.

ObFuSc8 said...

Thought I posted this before, but will blame blogger :)

Truthseeker5314 has a new post that looks like it went up during the airing of Ep3. Weird though because it puts the passenger vids together with reports of disappearance of plane and decides Walker hijacked the plane.

I guess it does tell us that to cover up what happened on the cruise, they have Sean listed as a stowaway, questions how he could have gotten from Miami to Az so quickly and reinforces what "Justin" told Sterling about how Sean got on board Avias 514.

Oh, and there's a mention of "a fellow devotee" --> v3rita5

Tess315 said...

You're welcome Ob.
There's a new post at Truth Seeker "Avias Corpus"

Tess315 said...

Oops sorry Ob didn't read enough posts before I posted mine. You've already posted about Truth Seeker.

Tess315 said...

I can't wait to see Blake Sterling's face when he realizes his go to guy with the Inostrankans is actually an un captured Inostrankan himself.

That is if the show stays around long enough to see that. I'm afraid after last night it may lose more viewers. I'm still going to watch it. I enjoy it. I think it's still in the set ip stage getting all the players on place. I've seen alot of tweets saying the show was predictable last night and I'd have to agree.

They need to quit over hyping it. At least on Twitter. You see everyone involved with the show tweeting how awesome that next episode is and how it will win you over if you're not already a fan. I think that puts the expectation to high and disappoints some fans and potential fans. Last nights show was good but it wasn't awesome or a game changer like they were trying to lead you to believe. I think they're hurting themselves with the hype. But that's the name of the advertising game these days.

Zort70 said...

Well I've watched the episode now and although I'm intrigued still, there isn't yet much of a hook to set it apart from other TV shows.

I need a hatch, or a smoke monster to get my attention :-)

It did seem the Sophia wasn't on board with the bodies part of the plan and potentially altered things (history / timeline) so that they were not really dead.

The government are going to have trouble hiding the fact that nearly 200 people aren't in the Brazillian Jungle

Lisa-Maladylis said...

well, I'm having a hard time keeping up ! we can't watch it till the next day so I miss chatting with everyone. great show though.

Just Thinking said...

Hi Lisa- how are you doing?

Interesting thought on Sophia Zort- but I think if you saw next weeks promo it sounds like Thomas is claiming - "next time they really will be dead". Like this was a demonstration.

Where is the little girl I wonder-I guess she is the reserve hostage. I still have hope that Leila will have more to her than just being Sean's girlfriend.

maven said...

Caught up with the latest episode! The problem with the 200 passengers is going to lead to more cover-ups. The factions of the 44ers seem to be working against each other.

Also agree that some of the is pretty predictable...especially William's murder by his girlfriend. But I'm still hooked enough to keep watching.

I agree with you, Tess, the show is becoming over-hyped by the cast and crew. Sunday and Mondays on twitter is overwhelming! High expectations often lead to disappointment.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

Hi Just, not doing too great these days. The tumor is causing alot of pain now and keeping me down alot. Usually I do ok with pain but this can't be ignored and brings me to tears alot. After this Fridays doc visit, they will have a better idea of what to do with it. Take it out or wait and watch more. both ideas are scary to me, I don't want to live in pain and its constant now. but surgery is scary too. so we wait and see. thanks for asking.

Just Thinking said...

Very sorry to hear you are in pain Lisa-that is just crappy. I hope the doctors can help you on Friday-at least with some medication maybe.

Zort70 said...

Lisa, thoughts and prayers for you, don't give up, you have to believe things will work out ok.

Tess315 said...

Lisa
Sending good thoughts your way. Hope you get encouraging news Friday. Hang in there I k ow it's scary.

Tess315 said...

know I hit the space bar on my phone.

StillWatching said...

And here I was just joking about the corpses all sitting up. . .and there they go doing it.

I don't mind cheesy goodness, but they really need to acknowledge within the show that they are being a bit cheesy. If you want to have zombie-ish types, you really need that guy in the warehouse to throw in a token-zombie-joke. Also, he should run, not call people on the radio. I mean, has he never seen a scary movie in his life?

StillWatching said...

Oops, just finished reading. Sorry to hear you are suffering Lisa. You are in my prayers.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

thanks everyone, I'm hoping for good news. I'm tired of pain and not knowing whats going on.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

did you all hear about the LOST event on spike ? there is a video here. http://www.spike.com/video/scream-2010/3480157 Pretty funny !

maven said...

My thoughts are with you Lisa! Pain can be so debilitating (my hubby suffers a chronic condition). Hope the doctors can give you some relief...mentally and physically.

Doc Jensen wrote a pretty negative review of the last episode. I really don't think it was that bad. It's just that the producers promised some fast answers, and I don't think that's quite what is happening. But I'm enjoying the pace and really don't want all the answers right away. And more character development has been promised.

Tess315 said...

Doc Jensen tweeted this the next day.
"Some morning-after regret about being too harsh on The Event. Still, hoping for better next week."

I'm with you maven the pace is fine with me but would like more character development.
A show tthat has surprised me is No Ordinary Family. It actually has a plot. I was expecting it to be a comedy.

Zort70 said...

I've added some screen captures ofthe episode.

After rewatching to get the images it is definitely a reasonable hour of TV and one that didn't make we want to fast forward through it.

I'm fairly sure that what people need is some sort of hook, at the moment it is more of a missing persons case than anything else, the 44's are not really shown in enough detail to get on board with them.

StillWatching said...

They need to stick Jason Ritter for most of an episode. . .or with Sophia for most of an episode. They are by far the two most likable characters in this thing so far. Mike was likable but he was dead. . .I guess maybe he isn't anymore though.

maven said...

Got my TEC mug today! Thanks again, Zort!

Tess315 said...

My favorite character is Simon. I liked him after watching the first promo online. I thought he'd be the most interesting character. To me anyway. Now that I know he's an Inostrankan I want to see more of his backstory.

Just Thinking said...

I like him too Tess. Seems like he must be one of the 44's that got away when they first crashed, and then worked his way back to Inostranka by getting into the government services.

maven said...

Simon is definitely interesting, and I'm looking forward to learning more about him (and everyone else).

I feel the 44ers had a plan to infiltrate all areas of our government and society. So Simon's passing the Security Dept. test with the fake vein was all part of a bigger plan.

Zort70 said...

Someone just mentioned on a Twitter update that Sophia is detainee number 42 !

It's a LOST crossover episode waiting to happen :-)

Zort70 said...

Actually I've just looked at the file pictures on the Truth Seeker blog and in the first file from Dec 05 1944 Sohpia is detainee #70, then in the mug shot pictures the file lists her as detainee #42.

StillWatching said...

Simons is the creepy guy with the fake veins right. . .he has potential, but I don't like him yet. Not enough personality.

Tess315 said...

K
Yes he's the one with the fake vein. I think he has plenty of personality. :) But Sayid was my favorite character on Lost and nobody liked him either. :) I thought Jack was dull. I never quite warmed up to him, almost but not quite.

I'm looking forward to tonight's show. See ya tonight at the blog if nothing comes up.

StillWatching said...

SG - I probably just haven't paid enough attention to him to appreciate him then. Bear in mind that I'm the one who didn't like Desmond and the best I can tell, everyone else on the planet loved Desmond. :)

(oops, just realized my screenname was different back then. . .this is lost2010. . .or at least I was)

Tess315 said...

Dang blogger ate my comment.

OMG! lost2010! You're like me you've changed your name. I thought your avi looked familiar.
Nice to see you here.

Simon hasn't shown us alot yet but he's mysterious and that intrigues me. That's why I liked Sayid partly, and he was a bad ass. I tend to like those types in my fiction.

maven said...

Now I know who K is! :) Glad my name wasn't Lost-centric and I didn't have to change it!

Thanks to Zort for finding two continuity errors...or not? We do know that Lost has their fair share of them.
