No More Flashbacks ? 6

According to this article on the entertainment news website Digital Spy, Blair Underwood is quoted as saying that flashbacks are not going to be part of The Event when it returns as the audience was getting confused.

The article also mentions the dreaded "Revamp" word which is usually a sign that someone is not 100% confident of the show.

Anyway flashbacks or not we hope to see you back here to discuss the new episodes when they arrive.

Alaskan Senators 5

The TrusthSeeker 5314 blog has a new update for us.

The TruthSeeker reports that Senator Lewis of Alaska has died and that his wife, Catherine, will be taking over temporarily. He also suggests that senator Lewis may have been party to the cover up of the true nature of the Inostranka facility.

It also so happens that the actress that plays the seantor's wife is Virginia Madsen who has recently been announced as a new cast member for The Event. You can find out more about Virgina at her official website or follow her on Twitter @madlyv

Waiting For The Event 2

While we wait for new episodes to start with a catchup on February 28 (9-11 p.m. ET) and resumes in its (9-10 p.m. ET) timeslot on March 7 on NBC, there are a few new snippets emerging.

These pictures were taken from the website DaemonsTV.com and interestingly all show the characters as reflections. Perhaps this is a clue that we need to look at the characters from a different point of view ?

Anyway there are lots of other things to see around the web, especially on the official NBC sites. This snippet from the blog of The Event's creator Nick Wauters is a tribute to how the show is being received. Decoding Truth Seeker 5314 20

Truth Seeker has posted to say that he has a copy of the transmission sent by Thomas.

He invites us to decode the signal, and I know that this is usually what we as a community are good at.

Sorry for the radio silence, folks, I took a little heat for that last post. Apparently the Freedom of Information Act doesn't apply to classified satellite transmissions. Who knew? But bottom line, we were able to break the story first and have since decrypted a fragment of the message. Score another one for the little guys. We may not have the processing capabilities of the DoD, but we were able to confirm the following:

"PREPARATIONS ARE..." (in some kind of cool "code" font)

It's too soon to start guessing what the remainder of the message states, so our computers continue to run decryption algorithms, hoping to illuminate it ASAP. If anyone has any spare computing power that they could volunteer, please let me know. We've already burned through 4 server blades, an old 3.46 gHz processor, and two RAID arrays.

President Martinez confronts the traitor in his administration, only to be met with threats of exposing the cover-up of Avias Air 514.

Even after testing the loyalty of Isabel and Thomas, Sophia still suspects their subterfuge, so she sends Simon on a fact-finding mission. Her suspicions are confirmed when Thomas unveils a shocking new plan. Meanwhile, on the hunt for Samantha, Sean and Leila battle the mercenaries sent by Dempsey.

TruthSeeker 5314 - Hot zone in South West Asia 5

Truth Seeker has posted a new article about an infrared satellite image of a mystery location in South West Asia.

This could be an island location or a mountain location, it isn't clear from the image.

The article dosen't mention what the site is, but the title of the picture is "infrared-missile-site.jpg" so it appears that there are some big weapons on the site.

Can you identify the location or provide any insight into how it might be connected with events in The Event, if so let us know in the comments.

Also, after revealing her plan for the Sleepers future, Sophia learns of dissension among her people. She sets a trap for the perpetrators and acts decisively to quell any future mutiny.

"Almost a year ago, our good friend and contributor Madeline gave me an anonymous ESN number to clone and monitor here at the Truth Cave.

I did some cell tower sweeps, and it looks like it's a broadcast message that went simultaneously to numerous cellphones. Unfortunately, it was sent by a spambot that rerouted it through several offshore anonymizers that lead back to a non-working number in Sierra Leone. I'm running a code breaker app on the text itself, hoping to glean some insight, but I could use our collective consciousness for this one."

President Martinez decides to personally interrogate Michael Buchanan about his involvement in the assassination attempt. Michael inadvertently reveals incriminating evidence about someone deep inside the President's staff. Meanwhile, Sean and Leila scramble to stay ahead of the covert ops that are trying to silence them and what they know.

NBC Announces 3 Month Gap to New Episodes

A short while ago the official news came in from NBC that The Event will take an extended break until the 28th of February 2011.

There are a couple of episodes still to come, but December, January, and most of Feburary will be The Event free zones.

Will this be a major problem for The Event as it has just got going or will it give everyone time to breath and catch up after the holiday period ?

Only time and a decent re-launch in February will tell.

Whatever happens join us later tonight to discuss the new episode, it looks like it's going to be an explosive one.

Fringe Promoting The Event ?

In what I am sure is pure coincidence, the Glyphs code in the recent Fringe episode Amber 31422 spelled out EVENT.

Will we see a Fringe / The Event crossover?

Will we see Agent Dunham take on Sophia ?

Will we see Walter square up to Dempsey ?

The answers to those questions are nearly 100% certain to be no, but we can always speculate :-)
