Dempsey's Office - Translated scroll 9

A short while ago Dempsey's office was updated.

If you now look for the safe and click on the trophy, a small surprise awaits. Once that has happened the safe now contains a partly translated scroll.

The transcript of which is below -

As you can see there is a missing verse to the prophecy, this may be a key element to a second season assuming Th Event is picked up by another production outfit like Netflix as has been rumoured.

The White House is gripped by a power struggle of historic proportions, pitting Martinez and Chief of Staff Peel against Jarvis and his secret ally, Sophia.

Elsewhere, Sean, Vicky, Sterling, and Simon race to stop the dispersion points for the virus.

Meanwhile, Leila fights for her life but it all may be too late as the portal begins to open, sending tremors across the globe.

*** Spoiler Alert *** The description below contains a lot of info I would consider spoilers, but it is the only description of the episode I can find.

President Martinez makes a triumphant albeit shaky return to the White House, determined to punish the traitors who conspired against him.

Sophia forges ahead with her plan, while battling a new enemy — the guilt that has begun to plague her.

Sean and Vicky form an impromptu team with Sterling and Simon in order to track down Sophia’s headquarters and stop her before the destruction of all human life.

As you may have already read there is lots of press coverage of NBC's decision not to renew The Event following it's first season.

However these two tweets from Nick Wauters and Ian Anthony Dale say, there are other possibilities for the continuation of the story.

Lets hope there is a conclusion of the story at the very least, but meanwhile enjoy the final few episodes that NBC have to broadcast and check back here every now and then for any news we might have to bring you.

We are not giving up hope yet as this is far from an official announcement. According to the timescale we have been given there is still time to send emails and letters to NBC before they make their decision.

With doubt still surrounding the tragedy at the White House, Sterling encounters an unlikely ally in Simon, who risks his life to return with a possible antidote. Against the wishes of Chief of Staff Richard Peel, Jarvis authorizes an air strike to neutralize them.

Sophia continues on her plan to exterminate the human race, now with the help of an unwitting accomplice — Leila. Meanwhile Sean and Vicky try to prevent the deaths of many thousands of innocent people.

Do you want a second season of The Event ? Well I do and so do lots of other people, however NBC do not seem to have made their minds up yet.

The White House grapples with the unfolding tragedy as Sterling continues the investigation into his primary suspect, while Sophia manipulates the traitor inside the White House, confirming the suspicions of Chief of Staff Peel.

Leila and Michael attempt to rescue Simon, at tremendous personal risk. Elsewhere, Sean and Vicky try to identify Sophia's secret courier before it's too late.

If you are in the UK, wondering what this post is about then I'm afraid that Channel 4's ridiculous decision to show The Event at 5 past midnight clashes with the next episode airing in the US. The Event - Updates 3

There are a few updates this week, including some to Dempsey's Office. There is a video from Nick Wauters answering some questions about The Event.

Unfortunately it is not available to anyone outside the UK, so I can't view it, but I've embedded it here just in case you can see it.

Q Will Sean meet Pres. Martinez?

A Well the answer actually is yes. Pres. Martinez and Sean will meet very soon in an upcoming episode.

In a major twist, in a major storyline that has yo do with Sean's destiny. At least the destiny that was fortold or forseen by Dempsey. So it's coming up soon. So keep watching the show.

Q Is Michael going to answer all of Leila's questions?

A Well Michael is definately going to answer some of the questions that Leila has. Questions about who she is. Where she came from and about her family and about her origins. So yes he will answer some of her questions just not all of them.

Q What the significance of Dempsey's stone table and the pieces on it
represent?

A This is actually a question I can't answer right now. But it's tied into Dempsey's past who he is where he came from and his goals. So it's a secret for now.

Q What is the purpose of the old age face little girls? And they had Sam for so long why isn't her face old?

A Thats an excellent question. Glad you asked it. Actually there's
something special about all the little girls that Dempsey abducted.

(He says something else here I can't quite make out. It's either children he abducted or chose and abducted. I think. I'm not sure)

He's been extracting a serum he needs to accomplish his final purpose.

The reason Samantha isn't as ... doesn't look as old as the other little girls is because he hasn't had her for as long as the others.

That's basically the answer. The treatment she's recieved just started.

The White House is rocked by the sudden illness of one of their own, leaving Chief of Staff Peel and Sterling to investigate possible conspirators.

Michael Buchanan comes to the aid of Leila, but it leaves them both at risk of Sophia’s wrath. Across the globe in Russia, Sean and Vicky race to stop Sophia’s weapon from being loaded onto a plane heading to the United States.

There are a few updates to tell you about, the first of which is the TruthSeeker5314 site.

A couple of new posts since we last mentioned TruthSeeker, the first deals with the presidential memo to inform White House staff of the "testing" programme Martinez has authorised.

The second update is a short video clip of a body being unloaded from a ship, the last second of the clip is quite interesting.
The second set of updates is to Dempsey's Office, the flowers are an obvious addition, but there are a few more things to click and some more information in emails and slideshows.

The most intriguing one is the scroll that has now appeared in the safe.

There are also some voice mail messages, one of which is in French, so if we have any French speakers among us we would appreciate a translation.

Truth Seeker 5314 - Under Seige

A new post by Truth Seeker has arrived.

It is a picture of what looks like a church being stormed by a S.W.A.T. team.

The post says the church is in Los Angeles, or at least the area patrolled by L.A.P.D, so if anyone in LA knows where it it please let us know.

Dempsey's Office - New Letter 9

SG_Tess has let us know that the Dempsey's Office page has been updated, there is a new letter in the letter sorter.

The letter is from a Donald Turcott to Alan Lancaster in Dempsey Pharmacruticals and talks about obtaining a bail release for a Mr Wallance.

Sterling and Richard rally to help President Martinez take control of the political fallout from the detainees' escape from Inostranka.

Meanwhile Sophia learns what Thomas has done and swears revenge, but Thomas is determined to succeed in his mission.

Michael leaves Leila in safekeeping with a close friend, Diane Geller while he also goes on the hunt for Thomas.

Episode Title - Turnabout

Dempsey's Time Line Tablet Mapped

Although it has only been in the show once at the end of the last episode, it does appear that this table or stone tablet resting on a table may be significant in the events to come.

We have assumed that this is some sort of time line map, leading to or from "The Event", but that is definitely not confirmed yet.

So what we have here is an attempt to break down the elements on the table.

Circles (Light Blue) - Five circles reducing in size, could these be symbolising planets or galaxy's or even dimensions ?

Lines (Black) - Lots of intersecting points with a few places where they seem to intersect more than others.

Cracks (Red) - Although they could be just natural parts of the stone, as they do appear to be cut through by the lines and other shapes, they could be significant as they do intersect the straight lines in certain areas.

Shapes (Cyan) - These seem to be deliberately cut into the tablet but are very random in nature. There is possibly a bit of liberal interpretation here as to what is an area cut into the stone and what is a natural part of it.

Also below we have an attempt to recreate the symbols seen on the small stones that are placed on the tablet. Whether these are symbolic, or there is an actual purpose to them it will be interesting to find out in the next few weeks.

Yet another puzzle from The Event, this time though it is based on Dempsey's mysterious table seen in episode 12.

It gives us a closer look at the table and some of the stones that are on it.

Solve the puzzle, which is very easy to do, and you get a link to a clue, I'm not sure how much of a clue it is, but it does confirm something that I had wondered about.

The Event UK Return Date

UK viewers can look forward to the return of The Event on Channel 4 on Monday 14th of March.

The timeslot is slightly later than before, but at least the UK is getting both of the new episodes as they were transmitted in the US.

Dempsey's Office In Detail

Each item is enclosed in spoiler tags in case you want to view the main site for yourself, so just click on the item you are interested in.

A lot of this is information we knew before, but the detail on the excavation in France is new information to us.

Update 1 - The office continues to be updated, there are now new emails, letters and a new item, the telephone is available to choose. There is also now something in the safe.

Update 2 - Following episode 16 two new emails appeared on the tablet computer.


Update 3 - Following the events in episode 17 there are several updates, including flowers being placed on the desk, new emails, a new inbox item, books and a new projector screen item to click on.

Update 4 The Locked box is now open and contains information about Sean, along with a slideshow of Sean's photographs taken when he was on the cruise with Leila.

A short time ago the @NBCTheEvent twitter account tweeted a link to Dempsey's Office

This is an interactive feature where clicking on various items on the desk gives some information about Dempsey and what he has been up to.

Some things we already know, like his conversations with Vice President Jarvis and some things we didn't know about like an Archealogical dig in France.

There is one item that appears to be locked, whether there is a puzzle to solve to unlock it remains to be seen.

There are two other views of the office seemingly of bookshelves, only one view has something else to explore, but it appears to be an empty safe.

The double bill of episodes tonight are looking good.

President Martinez and his longtime Chief of Staff charge the intelligence community with decrypting Thomas' satellite message, but more importantly determining to whom it was sent.


While they are distracted, Thomas unveils a surprise attack, but he does not anticipate a heroic stand-off with Blake Sterling, who learns an important lesson about Sleepers from Maya.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Alaskan Senator Catherine Lewis threatens to divulge information about the Mt. Inostranka detention facility on an episode of Hardball with Chris Matthews.

Elsewhere, Sean and Leila get a fresh lead on the whereabouts of Samantha, but it leads them to a dramatic turn in their lives. James Dempsey foresees that he and Sean will once again cross paths.
